You guys! Halloween is only 22 days away and I haven't decorated a single thing in my house yet. I did however, manage to shoot two different Halloween looks by October 2nd because #PRIORITIES! I really do enjoy expressing creativity so I love going all-out when it comes to my Halloween costumes. Is Halloween your favorite holiday?! Mine is actually the Fourth of July but Halloween takes a close 2nd.
Michelle, with Beso Makeup, has done my Halloween makeup for the last 4 years. She is extremely talented and a true artist. She also happens to be one of the sweetest #bossbabes I know. This year I wanted to serve up a scary but also affordable look, not joking. Get it?! My jumpsuit can be found here for less than $40 bucks + my shoes are under $80 (which I don’t think is that bad because you can wear them all winter long)! Don’t forget to book your Halloween makeup appointment and check out Beso's Instagram page!

Boo! Who's scared that it's already October?! I love Halloween and everything leading up to it; movies, pumpkin spice scented candles, and all the pumpkin patch photos! I even love attending Halloween parties all weekend long but I can't always go ALL-OUT for every spooky event. When I collaborated with Melissa, who happens to be one of my favorite makeup artists in the city, we both agreed upon a simple yet pretty application.
For those of you who prefer NOT to go all-out for a halloween aesthetic, this simple yet pretty look is perfect for any Halloween party. I paired Melissa's web with an off the shoulders cotton top and black denim overalls. An easy look that can be "spun" up last minute! You can check out Melissa Vaccaro's Instagram page here.

I'm 26 years young and I've yet to get botox or filler. I'm not even sure if they're the same thing... I do know that the elasticity in my skin is already declining and when I look in the mirror at age 26, compared to when I was 18, I do see more fine lines. I was recently inspired to make more of an effort when it comes to taking care of my skin. I want to correct what can be corrected and preserve as much as I can in the most natural way. I got to thinking about my everyday skin care regimen and knew I needed to learn more.
I met Sarah, one of the estheticians at Earth Savers, and immediately feel in love with how passionate she is about educating her clients on proper skin care. I explained to her what my skin care regimen was, told her about my concerns, and after my hydrofacial she made some suggestions.
If there's one suggestion I can make to my readers it's to make an appointment at Earth Savers, met an esthetician and let her get to know your skin. Elaborate on your current skin care regimen and then let them give you suggestions. I was blown away with how much I learned after just one facial.
So what exactly happens during a hydrofacial?
Is the cleansing and exfoliating step. Similar to microdermabrasion, it gently exfoliates while simultaneously shooting out an AHA solution (lactic and glycolic acid) to cleanse and give a light chemical exfoliation.
Is the extraction step. This step uses a BHA solution (salicylic acid) to loosen up dirt, oil and impurities in the pores, while the suction gently removes it.
Is the hydration step. This step is a blend of hyaluronic acid, antioxidants and peptides to ‘feed’ the skin and plump it back up.
As you can imagine, after these three thorough steps, my skin is still reaping the benefits. Thanks to Sarah at Earth Savers, I learned more about my own skin and can now properly care for and correct in the most efficient and natural way possible.

Looking for the perfect Mother's Day gift? Paris Parker Aveda Salon & Spa has got you covered. In celebration of their salons turning 25 here in Louisiana, I got to enjoy a Tulasara Duel Exfoliant Facial. What is a Tulasara Duel Exfoliant Facial might you ask? Well, in Sanskrit, Tulasara means moving towards balance. It is inspired by Ayurveda and the Ayurvedic approach to healthy and balanced skin. This facial is a combination of botanical resurfacing techniques and restorative moisture treatments.
Jackie, one of the salons' estheticians, started my facial off by purifying my skin. Shortly after she used dry brushes to help exfoliate and remove dead skin cells. This also helps increase circulation that also helps produce collagen. She then proceeded to use Aveda's warming plant peel. (This step felt amazing!) In order to protect my skin, she finished my hour long facial by moisturizing my skin. Talk about the quickest hour of my life!
My face, especially the skin around my nose has never felt so smooth. I got to experience complete relaxation during my head, neck, feet, and hand massage. You can purchase an online gift card here, make sure to ask for Jackie!
