mardi gras icing with domino sugar

Growing up, my mom wasn't the best cook, but she did know how to make a mean dessert. I've luckily inherited her baking skills and I'm excited to share with you all! These old school Domino Sugar boxes (they also have sleek/more modern looking packaging) remind me of being in my mothers kitchen watching her bake all the things, which fills my heart with happiness. Oh, the little things!

This year I offered to bring the dessert (because we all know there's 22,682 King Cakes EVERYWHERE) so I could swap out the white sugar for Domino's Light Brown Sugar. I've listed the recipe below and it's super easy. Make sure to tag me in all your Domino Sugar recipes!

  • Add in your vanilla extract and powdered sugar (mix together slowly then increase to medium speed).
